Summary : Bronze Age bowl barrow on the southern spur of Beacon Hill south of the Kennet valley 120 metres south of the entrance to Beacon Hill Hillfort. The barrow mound is 6.5 metres in diameter and has a maximum height of 0.25m. A surrounding quarry ditch is now infilled but survives as a buried feature 1.5 metres wide. Scheduled. |
More information : SU 459568. Round barrow 140 metres south of Beacon Hill Camp. Scheduled. (1) SU 45865696. A mound on the Summit of narrow north-south ridge, 7 metres in diameter and 0.4 metres in height. No ditch visible. Probably a small bowl barrow. (2)
