Summary : A parish church, possibly of 12th century origin, but rebuilt during the 15th and 16th centuries. The west tower and south porch are 15th century in date, while the nave, south aisle and chancel were rebuilt in the 16th century. The north aisle was added at the same time, creating the north chapel. The south aisle was widened in 1569, forming the south chapel, which was originally separated from the aisle by a north-south wall. This wall was removed in the late 19th century, when the chancel was restored and the vestry added. Listed. |
