More information : Sherds of 'rude pottery', probably NE., were found by Peake, some years before 1930, in mole or rabbit scrapes 'from surface of a filled in ditch at the base of Beacon Hill; not very far from Burghclere Station'. [Prob. SU 4657]. (1) No further information. (2)
