Summary : Possible Neolithic potsherds found on the surface of a filled up ditch at the foot of Beacon Hill prior to 1930.
More information : Sherds of 'rude pottery', probably NE., were found by
Peake, some years before 1930, in mole or rabbit scrapes 'from
surface of a filled in ditch at the base of Beacon Hill; not
very far from Burghclere Station'.
