Summary : Base of Second World War reinforced concrete pillbox only. Faces North-North-East: Possibly type 24. On grassland at edge of River Thames, Salt Lane, Cliffe. The structural remains of this pillbox were mapped from aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project.

Non-hexagonal pillbox. Top of buried concrete pillbox visible above turf of counter wall. Faces NNE: possibly type 24. On grassland at edge of River Thames, Salt Lane, Cliffe. (1)

The structural remains of the Second World War pillbox described by the previous authority (centred at TQ 7101 7574) was mapped from 1953 RAF aerial photographs as part of the English Heritage: Hoo Peninsula Landscape Project. (2)
