Summary : A pillbox on a minor road to the north-west of the former RAF High Ercall airfield. The pillbox was part of the airfield's World War Two defence, probably built between 1940 and 1941. It was constructed of concrete and brick. It was reported as extant and in fair condition in 1995.
More information : A pillbox at Ercall Magna, Shropshire, SJ 6065 1935, on a minor road to the north-west of the former RAF High Ercall airfield. The pillbox was part of the airfield's World War Two defence, according to the Defence of Britain record it was built between 1940 and 1941. It was constructed of concrete and brick. It was reported as extant and in fair condition in 1995. (1)
