Range of information available:The North Yorkshire County Council HER covers the county of North Yorkshire excluding the areas of the City of York, the Yorkshire Dales and North York Moors National Parks.
The HER consists of over 25000 computerised records, plus maps, fieldwork reports, a small library, project and parish files. The computerised records are largely indicative or index data and are not comprehensive, archival information.
The HER is open for public consultation by appointment only.
Our aerial photograph collection and the early OS and tithe maps are now held at the North Yorkshire County Record Office. Please contact them for further information.
