Full description
A microlith in Camborne Museum, and five blades, a scraper and two other pieces now in Plymouth Museum represent evidence for the earliest phase of activity or occupation on Carn Brea Hill during the Mesolithic period.
A total of 26,382 pieces of worked flint and chert were recovered during the 1970-1973 excavations, mainly from the eastern summit, but only 5% of this came from stratified contexts. Among the unstratified flint were several microliths and other typologically Mesolithic artefacts.
