Milestone location about 0.5 miles north-west of Tavistock Cross, on east side of road at fork to Denhambridge. Tall marker with black paint residues showing the distances apparently in decimals. Inscribed Tavi-/Stock/4.9/Miles/Berr/Ferris/?.2/Miles/To/Denham/Bridge/1/2/Miles.
Date of most recent survey: 25th August 2004. The edges are chipped and a large chunk has been taken out of the bottom left hand side.

Guide Post at SX459681. Probably circa early C19. Roughly dressed granite. 4 sided, unhewn at the base and on the rear face. Right-hand side indicates Denham Bridge with pointing hand. Opposite side similarly indicates Tavistock. Front face directs "Beer Terns" with mark below.
