The Mount, Castle Street. (Formerly listed as The Mount, Burrough House). Probably 18th century or earlier, altered. Stone tower at angle of garden wall, rubble masonry, partly roughcast. Tapered walls, rounded corner abutting road. Late 19th century roof, dormer and casement windows. Lead tank dated 1653. Said to have been a look-out tower belonging to an earlier house, and possibly part of fortifications. Now used as small dwelling house.
