A linear ditch, approximately 2 metres in width and aligned roughly east to west, is visible as an interrupted dark cropmark on aerial photographs from 1946. It is parallel to a removed field boundary, which is depicted on the 1880s-1890s Ordnance Survey maps circa 20 metres to the south. This boundary is visible on 1970s aerial photographs as a cropmark of very similar character to the linear ditch, which is also therefore interpreted as part of a former field boundary of medieval or post-medieval date. It is visible in parts, although indistinct, on aerial photographs taken in 2007, indicating survival of below-ground remains.
