DBA undertaken along a corridor associated with the A30/A303 between Honiton and Devonshire Inn. This study is intended to inform the development of options for improvements to the A30/A303 between Honiton and Devonshire Inn.

Visited 5th July 2002 by John Thorp. Milking parlour. Long and low single storey gable ended building built across the hillslope and facing south towards the farmhouse. Rear wall and east end are original mid 19th century from a 9 bay open fronted cattleshed. Previously the building had extended some distance further west.
Rubblestone walls with concrete blockwork and cob walltop. Original roof has an uneven pitch with longer front principals. Tie beam trusses with flat lap jointed collars ( all joints nailed). Double ridge and 2 sets of purlins to rear, three to front. all resting on backs of principals. Roof extended approximately one metre forward circa 1960. The post was removed and new south wall of concrete blockwork built. Ttiebeams let below original tiebeams and bolted through. The west end is also circa 1960. Five doorways in south front all circa 1960. Four windows in south front all circa 1960 iron framed top tilting casements.
Corruaged iron covering.
Inside, only original feature is the roof. Walls are plastered and there are 20th century stalls of concrete and tubular steel. There is a feeding passage along the north side with doorways to it through the north and west walls.
Poor condition.
