Small and narrow gable ended shed built across the hillslope on east side of yard. 1840 to 1890. Probably built as a poultry house with a hatch in west wall.
Rubble stone walls with early orange earth mortar and lime plaster pointing. Three bay roof of A frames sitting on timber pads. Neat carpentry with two lap jointed collars spiked to principals (lower ones curved , upper ones flat). Plate yoke, ridgeboard and single set of staggered butt purlins with tusk tenons. Corrugated iron covering.
7.66 metres by 4.35 metres by 2.27 metres high to eaves.
Two doors, one each end on north side with plain timber frames which may be 19th century, but doors are 20th century replacements. Their position, opposite each other, suggest a feeding passage along north side. Two unglazed windows on south side. Both narrow, square -sided openings with plain timber frames. Hatch in west wall (now blocked) would have allowed access to walled court (possibly the original run).
Now has 20th century concrete floor with no evidence for any internal partitions. Walls are plastered.
Disused. In fair condition.
