An important functional building and home that retains historic features, including an 18th / early 19th century window in the return elevation of the forge building itself.

Smithy marked on 1880s-1890s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map.

The sub-post office was at one time the forge, standing next to the horse pond. Description of Tom Hill, a former blacksmith.

Building recorded as cottage on the 1840 Tithe map and extended after circa 1860s to include a blacksmiths workshop.

An important functional building and home that retains historic features, including an 18th / early 19th century window in the return elevation of the forge building itself. Now the village stores and Post Office it is the hub of the local community as well as being a key building.
