Hegarty, C. + Knight, S., 2011 - 2012, North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty National Mapping Programme Project (Interpretation). SDV349018.

A linear earthwork bank, aligned north to south, up to 4 metres wide and 140 metres in length, is visible on aerial photographs taken in 1946. The bank fits into the extant medieval field pattern and is likely to be a relict field boundary of probable medieval origin. No boundary is depicted in this location on the 1839 Tithe map, suggesting that it had become degraded and fallen out of use prior to the mid nineteenth century. Any earthwork remains are likely to have been levelled during the construction of the car park for Ruda Holiday Park.
