Lamb, S., 1957, Some notes on 18th century furnishings in the parish churches of Devon, 217-8 (Article in Serial). SDV65364.

St Mary's parish church: fine carved pulpit dated 1722, made by local carpenter, William Culne. In tradition of late 17th century. Magnificent when it was entire, with canopy, surmounted by a gilt angel blowing a trumpet. The angel is now over the ancient clock.
