Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
The former field boundary is not depicted on the Chivelstone parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48.

The remains of a northwest-southeast aligned former field boundary of possible medieval date is visible as a low earthwork bank to the west of Malcombe Point. The earthwork is approximately 5.5m wide and parallel to the existing field boundaries. The boundary may form part of a medieval strip field which passed out of use by the time of the parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48. The boundary is still visible as an earthwork on LiDAR images dating to 1998-2008.
