Full description
Devon and Somerset County Councils, 2000-2002, Historic Farmsteads Database, BH037.8 (Machine readable data file). SDV349681.
South Piggery. Gable-ended, stone rubble pigsty, for sows and piglets, built outside yard, in late 19th century -early 20th century, with lean-to added later for rearing of pigs for bacon. Chert; Rubble stone, brick dressed walls. Asbestos sheet roof. A-frame. 3-bay roof of A-frames, nailed together. One set of back purlins, plate yoke and ridgeboard. Door/s; Timber window/s. Originally, three full height doorways to three sites. with overlights and flaps. Window in south gable end has a plain frame and 20th century glass. Feeding passage; Hayloft. Secondary loft. Original feeding passage. Secondary loft. Original feeding passage. Currently disused.
