To the west end of West Street are a number of residential unlisted buildings which make a positive contribution to the special interest of the conservation area. The buildings are mainly in terraced form, and mainly 19th century in date. A few were clearly built as one development, otherwise they vary in detail, but are mainly two or three storeys high with pitched roofs facing the street. Eaves heights are not consistent, providing a pleasing variety in rhythm along the street.
