Deer Park Lodge was built by the Bedford Estate in the mid 1850s for Theophilus Jones, the Estate’s own architect/surveyor who designed the Bedford Cottages. After Jones died in 1858 Edward Rundle (his successor) moved in, becoming the Estate Steward in 1879. The gardens contain large mature trees and stone boundary walls also feature. Deer Park Lodge should be added to the Conservation Area as it is a 19th century building of great merit.

Ordnance Survey, 2013, MasterMap (Cartographic). SDV350786.
