A former field boundary of potential medieval date is visible as an earthwork bank on aerial photographs of 1943 to 1945, south of Beesands. The earthwork is northwest to southeast aligned and respects the existing field pattern. The former boundary may form part of a medieval strip field which passed out of use by the time of the Stokenham parish tithe map of between 1838-48. The earthwork bank is visible on aerial photographs up to 1945, although has been levelled by 1976.
