Linear earthwork banks visible on aerial photographs of 1945 to the south of Inner Hope might be the remains of field boundaries of medieval date. The earthworks are located on the upper slopes of a steeply sided spur overlooking the combe in which Inner Hope is located, in areas depicted as rough ground on the Ordnance Survey first edition 25 inch map. The banks might have survived into the twentieth century due to their agriculturally marginal location. They cannot be clearly seen on later aerial photographs but field investigation is required to fully assess their character and survival.
