Full description
Devon and Somerset County Councils, 2000-2002, Historic Farmsteads Database, BH139.3 (Machine readable data file). SDV349681.
Cart Shed. Cart shed; hayloft/tallet. The tall cart shed is the end 2 bays of the south range. Unusually, it is lofted. Chert, brick dressed walls. Slate roof. King post. 2-bays. Trusses as before (BH139.2). Door/s; tallet; ventilator. Man door to front with pegged frame and ledge and brace door. Two ventilator slits with brick dressings. To rear (south), full height cart door, with remnants of top hung timber flaps. Hayloft. High loft supported on crossbeam and joists with X- braces. Loft accessible from threshing barn. Currently used for the storage of horse boxes.
