Threshing barn. The central three bays of the gable-ended main range. The range is built into the ground at the east end, and slopes down to the west. It incorporates a stable, threshing barn and cattleshed. This section was purpose-built as a threshing barn. There is a small, timber dove house hanging on the outside wall. Chert walls. Slate roof. Tie beam truss. A three-bay roof of tie beam trusses with notched, mortise and tenon X-apexes. Each truss has pegged, raking queen struts. There are secondary, high, bolted collars and I set of trenched purlins. Diagonal ridge. Opposing doors to threshing floor. Only the front threshing doors remain the rear doors are missing. There is a single and a 2-flap ledge and brace doors, held on strap hinges with teardrop finials, in a solid, pegged frame. Lime ash floor; threshing floor. Some of the original threshing floor remains. To the left of the threshing floor, the floor level drops a step. The surface of the lower level is lime ash. The internal walls are whitewashed. Currently disused.
