A linear structure perpendicular to the shore in the inter-tidal zone of the Axe estuary is visible on aerial photographs taken between 1999 and 2012. It is 10 metres in visible length and approximately half a metre wide, but it is difficult to interpret using the available evidence. It is possible that the structure is becoming more exposed and a site visit is recommended to help establish the materials and likely date and function of this feature.
