Field called Lower Holway on Tithe Map/Tithe Apportionment (Tithe Apportionment No. 487). Name suggests existence of a hollow way or sunken trackway. No trackway shown on Tithe Map. Trackway shown along east boundary on OS 1890 map extending north to road (boundary as on modern map); assumed to be for field access. It is not known if this is the trackway referred to in the name.
