Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848, 661 (Cartographic). SDV349431.

Exeter Archaeology, 2003-2004, East Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty Archaeological Survey, 176 (Archive - Survey). SDV351568.

Field called Castle Close on Tithe Map/Tithe Apportionment (Tithe Apportionment No. 661). Arable field of 6.5 acres. Name suggests earthwork, possibly prehistoric. A barrow and grave are associated with a place called Castle Close although this is recorded as further to north-west.
