Orchard banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1946 and 1967, at the farmstead of Chapelhaies, with which the orchard was likely associated. The orchard banks occupy an irregular shaped field of approximately 0.70 hectares of gentle southeast facing slope and is classified on the Bradninch parish tithe apportionment of approximately 1838-48 as an orchard, although the trees appear to have been grubbed out by the time of the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of between the 1880’s-90’s. The northwest to southeast aligned banks remain visible as slight earthworks on aerial photographs of 1967, although appear to have been completely levelled by 1989.
