A former field boundary of potential medieval date is visible as an earthwork bank, with possible flanking cropmark ditch on aerial photographs of 1967, to the west of Flesterhaies Cottage. The former boundary bank is northeast to southwest aligned and visible in two sections spaced approximately 30m apart. The possible cropmark traces of a flanking ditch are visible alongside the northwest edge of the bank. Other earthwork banks of former field boundaries are also clearly visible on aerial photographs of 1967, although these are depicted on the Bradninch parish tithe map and were not transcribed as part of this survey. This boundary may form part of a medieval field system, although clearly passed out of use by the time of the tithe map. It was not visible on other aerial photographs consulted as part of this survey and appears to have been completely levelled by 1989.
