Orchard banks of probable post-medieval to modern date are visible as a series of linear earthwork banks on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, to the southwest of Great Dorweeke. The site of the orchard is first symbolised on the Silverton parish tithe map of approximately 1838-48, up until the Second Edition Ordnance Survey map of between 1904-06. Aerial photographs of 1946, however, show that the orchard trees have been completely grubbed out, leaving a series of northwest to southeast aligned earthwork banks visible. These banks occupy an area of approximately 0.30 hectares of gentle northeast facing slope and remain faintly visible as earthworks on digital images derived from aerial photographs taken in 2010.
