The relict boundaries of a field system of possible medieval origin are visible as earthwork banks on aerial photographs of the 1940s in the former grounds of Silverton Park. The visible earthworks are slightly curvilinear in form and are oriented on a north-west to south-east axis. The banks do not correspond with any boundaries depicted on the Tithe Map for Silverton or the Ordnance Survey 25 inch First Edition map of the 1880s to the 1890s and had therefore been removed prior to the mid-19th century. However, the Ordnance Survey first edition map schematically depicts trees in roughly the same layout as the relict earthworks which might support the interpretation that the map is illustrating trees grown from former hedgerow planting. The banks have now largely been levelled although fragments remain visible on images derived from lidar data.
