The possible extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

A possible extraction pit of probable post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, off Post Hill. The sub oval shaped feature measures approximately 40m in length by 30m in width and remains visible as a slight earthwork pit on digital images derived from Lidar data captured between 2005 and 2012.
