Summary

A small possible oval cropmark is visible.

A small ring ditch was visible on aerial photographs as an oval cropmark to the north-east of Singleton Park. The cropmark was on average 1 metre wide, enclosing a space approximately 6 by 5 metres in size. The cropmark fell within a wider area of cropmark evidence for prehistoric settlement, agriculture and funerary activity. The enclosure could therefore be interpreted as evidence for a small barrow of Bronze Age date or potentially a round house of Iron Age to Roman date.
