Cropmarks of linear ditched features were visible on aerial photographs on a saddle of higher ground to the west of Sunnyside Cottages, Silverton. The cropmarks are circa 1.2 metres wide and define a rectilinear pattern of possible ditched field boundaries on a predominantly East-North-East by West-South-West orientation. The possible field boundaries might be associated with cropmark evidence for five possible round houses of later prehistoric or Roman date.
