Three curvilinear ditches, circa 12 metres in width, are visible as earthworks on images derived from lidar data captured between 2005 and 2010, and indistinctly on aerial photographs taken from 1946 onwards. No field boundaries are depicted in these exact locations on the available historic mapping, but one of the earthworks appears to be a continuation of an extant curvilinear field boundary that it meets at SX0553905478. The earthworks fit well into the field pattern in this area, and are interpreted as the relict remains of former medieval field boundaries, which appears to have passed out of use prior to the mid-19th century.
