Plot 474 on the Stoke Fleming Tithe Map of 1841 is recorded as a 'Barn and Court,' and plot 477 to the north is recorded as 'Barn Park' within the Tithe Apportionment. An L-shaped building is depicted within plot 474 on the Tithe Map and the later First and Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey maps. A building is also shown in this location on the Ordnance Survey Master Map, although it is much larger than that depicted on the earlier maps; it is impossible to determine from the map evidence whether this larger building has replaced, or incorporated elements of, the earlier barn.
