1793, Map of the Manor of Branscombe Parish of Branscombe and County of Devon Property of the Dean and Chapter of Exeter Survey'd and mapp'd in 1793 by Alexr Law. (Cartographic). SDV357798.

A building is depicted within the south-west corner of the plot and is recorded as a 'Barn &c.'

A building is depicted within the south-west corner of a plot and is recorded as a 'Barn &c' on a map of the Manor or Branscombe dated to 1793. The building does not appear to be present on the later Branscombe Tithe Map of 1840, although a building of a similar size and shape is depicted in this location on the later First and Second Edition 25 inch Ordnance Survey maps and the Ordnance Survey Master Map. It is not possible to determine from the map evidence alone whether this building has replaced, or is an extension of, the barn depicted on the earlier estate map.
