An extraction pit of possible post-medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, at Dunsmoor Farm. The semi-circular earthwork abuts Sanctuary Lane along its eastern edge and measures approximately 57m in length by 37m in width. It is visible as an earthwork pit on aerial photographs of 1996.
