A possible leat or drain of between medieval to modern date is visible as an earthwork ditch on aerial photographs of 1946 onwards, to the north of Marsh Green. The linear earthwork measures approximately 175m in length, is broadly northeast to southwest aligned, with a prominent kink towards its northern extent. The leat or drain appears to divert the flow of water from a stream located approximately 30m from its southwest extent, downslope towards a stream and sluice at its northeast extent. The earthwork may form part of an 18th-19th century land irrigation or drainage system, or may also have much earlier origins. It remains visible as an earthwork ditch on digital images derived from aerial photographs of 2010.
