A dark cropmark, circa 34 by 21 metres, is visible on aerial photographs taken between 1992 and 2010. Its pale border suggests differential drainage into the fill of a deep cut feature such as a quarry pit. A clay pit is marked on historic mapping approximately 180 metres to the south-west, and the cropmark is interpreted as having formed over a post-medieval or early-19th century quarry that became disused prior to the late-19th century.
