Summary
Two depressions are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs and on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2005 and 2013 north of Hardicott Cottage. They are interpreted as extractive pits of probable late 19th to early 20th century origin, but may be earlier.

The depressions do not correspond with any depicted features.

One of the depressions corresponds approximately to the site of a depicted earthwork within a rectangular enclosure.

Two irregularly shaped depressions, one circa 25 metres by 6 metres and one circa 20 metres by 12 metres, are visible as earthworks on visualisations derived from lidar data captured in 2005 and 2013. They are situated in a west facing field north of Hardicott Cottage.
One of the depressions corresponds approximately to the site of an earthwork within a small enclosure depicted on the Ordnance Survey 25 inch Second Edition map. The depressions are visible on aerial photographs dating from the 1940s and from the late-20th and early 21st century.
The earthworks are interpreted as extractive pits of probable late 19th to early 20th century origin, but may be earlier.
The earthworks had previously been transcribed as part of the Tamar Valley NMP and have been re-transcribed based on recent lidar data.
