Full description
Devon County Council, 1838-1848, Tithe Mosaic, approximately 1838-1848 (Cartographic). SDV349431.
The banks do not correspond with any depicted boudnaries.

Curvilinear banks, some flanking possibly ditches, were visible as earthworks.

Possible former field boundaries of possible medieval to 19th century date were visible on aerial photographs as earthwork banks and ditches to the south of Combe Hill, Combe Raleigh. The former boundaries were not depicted on the Tithe map for Combe Raleigh and had therefore been removed prior to the 1840s. Their curvilinear form might support an interpretation of an origin as strip fields of medieval date.
