A curvilinear earthwork bank, circa 11 metres in width, is visible on aerial photographs taken from 1982 and on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014. Its hilltop location makes it tempting to interpret it as part of a later prehistoric enclosure bank, but it could just be a relict medieval field boundary that has been spread by ploughing and soil slippage downslope. It is not depicted on any of the available historic mapping and so presumably pre-dates the mid-19th century.
