Several curvilinear earthwork banks, 2.5 to 5.5 metres in width, are visible on images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014 and on aerial photographs taken from 1982 onwards. Three are roughly parallel and spaced at 30 to 45 metres apart; their layout is consistent with an interpretation as medieval strip fields, in keeping with the character of the surrounding field system. A further earthwork, perpendicular to these and slightly to the north, is less regular in shape and aligned broadly along the contour; it may be the remains of a lynchet, but is perhaps more likely to be natural land slippage. The area is depicted as orchard on the historic mapping, and the banks probably went out of use by the mid-19th century; they are obscured by trees on the pre-1982 aerial photographs.
