Full description
Ordnance Survey, 1880-1899, First Edition Ordnance 25 inch map (Cartographic). SDV336179.
'Birch Mill (Corn)' marked on 1880s-1890s 25 inch Ordnance Survey map, with a large roughly oval mill pond to the south.

19th century mill, still working with overshot wheel. On old site.
Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1960 - 1980, ST21SE17 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV344388.
Site visit: 18th August 1960. No longer working, ceased operating in 1950. Milling machinery remains. No visible evidence of early building in present structure.
