The eastern quarry is visible as an two adjacent earthwork depressions totalling circa 50m by 20m and bisected by a trackway on images derived from lidar data captured in 2016. The western quarry is not clearly discernible as an earthwork. The quarries are interpreted as being of post-medieval to 19th century origin, that ceased extraction by the end of the 19th century.
