The present house is a good example of a barton farm, c.1600 in date.

Site visit 11th October 1977. The house has large chimney stacks which are compatible with a 17th century date. However, it has been remodelled, probably c.1823 as this date is inscribed above the 1684 datestone on the south front. There is no evidence of re-used materials. Described as not outstanding.
