Full description

Clarke, K. M., 1916, The Baptismal Fonts of Devon. Part 4, 309 (Article in Serial). SDV145498.

Similar to Abbotsham font. Shaft cylindrical. No cable at rim. Between bowl and shaft is a chevron moulding, the pointed sections alternately raised and sunk. Shaft has base moulding of two flattened rounds with a quirk below. The round topped flutings which cover the bowl measure 101mm at widest and 57mm at narrowest points. Of grey Devon rock, with a pavement of old North Devon tiles. Other details: Plate 111.
