A rectangular earthwork SW of Bramber Wood. Identified by Wall as a homestead moat.
Hoskins, W. G., 1954, A New Survey of England: Devon, 342 (Monograph). SDV17562.
A rectangular earthwork SW of Bramber Wood. Identified by Hoskins as the probable medieval site of Dunsland manor.
Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division, 1978, SS40NW9 (Ordnance Survey Archaeology Division Card). SDV5639.
A flat area 38m by 14m enclosed by a bank 7m wide and 1m high. Originally fed by a leat to SW corner. This feature, now entirely planted with conifers, is not a moat or the site of a manor house but a fishpond, probably associated with the Tudor house of Dunsland.

Northern pond, Bramble Wood. Most N of 2 long ponds, following line of NW-SE and fed by stream which runs along E boundary of estate.(see also SS40NW/24). Earthwork at NW tip possibly site of medieval fishpond.
