Bluesky International, 2016, LiDAR DTM data (0.5m resolution) Blackdown Hills and East Devon AONBs: 3 transects, LIDAR ST1205 Bluesky International DTM 05-MAY-2016 (Cartographic). SDV359714.
The extraction pit is visible as an earthwork pit.

An extraction pit of likely post-medieval to 19th century date is visible as an earthwork pit on digital images derived from lidar data captured in 2016, to the southeast of Smallicombe. The small semi-circular shaped earthwork measures approximately 14m by 14m and is situated on moderate west facing slope. A concentration of similar such features was recorded to the west (MDV117451). The earthwork was not clearly visible on aerial photographs or other digital images made available to the survey.
