Shallow curvilinear ditches were visible as subtle earthworks.

Two slightly curved ditches or hollows 2 to 5 metres wide and up to 85 metres long were visible as earthworks to the south-west of Tarrants Farm, Payhembury parish, on digital images derived from lidar data captured between 1998 and 2014.
The ditches did not correspond to any field boundaries depicted on the 19th century mapping available to the survey, although they were broadly in keeping with the surrounding field pattern as shown on the Tithe Map for Payhembury, which has been characterised as potentially of medieval origin.
This supports the interpretation that the subtle relict ditches were evidence for former field boundaries of possible medieval origin that were removed probably from the post-medieval period to early 19th century.
